Configuring a DNS Server

Configure a DNS server for StoneOS to implement DNS resolution. This section describes how to configure a DNS server.

Creating a DNS Server

To create a DNS server, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > Network to visit the Network page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click DNS.
  3. On the Server and Proxy tab in the DNS List dialog, click New in the DNS Server section.
  4. In the DNS Server Configuration dialog, type the IP address for the DNS server into the Server IP box.
  5. Select a VRouter from the VR drop-down list. The default VRouter is trust-vr.
  6. Click OK.

Deleting a DNS Server

To delete a DNS server, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > Network to visit the Network page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click DNS.
  3. On the Server and Proxy tab in the DNS List dialog, select a server from the DNS server list and click Delete.
