Configuring a Local User

Policy > Object > User > Local User

Local user represents the users that are located in the local server. User group means the collection of some users, which can only contain the users from one local server. Each user can be divided into different user groups.

In the Local User page, you can perform the following actions:

Options in the User Configuration dialog:

Option Description

Name

Specifies a name for the user.

Password

Specifies a password for the user.

Confirm Password

Type the password again to make confirmation.

Mobile

Type the mobile phone number.

Description

If needed, type the description for the user.

Expiration

Select the Enable check box to enable the expiration function for the user, and then specify a date and time. After the expiration, the user cannot be authenticated. Therefore the expired user cannot be used in the system. By default the expiration function is not enabled.

Name

Specifies a name for the user group.

Available/Selected

Specifies members for the user group. Expand User or User Group in the Available list, select a user or user group, and then click to add the selected entries to the Selected list on the right.
