Configuring an L2TP VPN Address Pool

By configuring an L2TP VPN address pool, LNS assigns the IP addresses in the address pool to users.

In the Address Pool page, you can perform the following actions:

Options in the Address Pool Configuration dialog:

Option Description
Basic
Address Pool

Specifies the name of the address pool.

Start IP

Specifies the start IP of the address pool.

End IP

Specifies the end IP of the address pool.

Reserved Start IP

Specifies the reserved start IP of the address pool.

Reserved End IP

Specifies the reserved end IP of the address pool.

DNS1/DNS2

Specifies the DNS server IP address for the address pool. It is optional. At most two DNS servers can be configured for one address pool.

WINS1/WINS2

Specifies the WIN server IP addresses for the address pool. It is optional. At most two WIN servers can be configured for one address pool.

IP-User Binding
User/IP

Configure the IP-user binding rules:

  1. Type the username into the User textbox.
  2. Type the IP address into the IP textbox.
  3. Click Add to add the IP-user binding rule. The rule will display in the table. To delete a rule, select the rule you want to delete from the table and click Delete.
