Introduction to SCVPN Client

SCVPN client is named as Hillstone Secure Connect. Hillstone Secure Connect can be run in the following operating systems: Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/Windows 7. The encrypted data can be transmitted between the SCVPN client and SCVPN server after a connection has been established successfully. The functions of the client are:

• Get interface and route information from the PC on which the client is running.
• Show the connecting status, statistics, interface information, and route information.
• Show SCVPN log messages.
• Upgrade the client software.

This section mainly describes how to download, install, start, uninstall the SCVPN client, and its GUI and menu. The method for downloading, installing and starting the client may vary from the authentication methods configured on the server. The SCVPN server supports the following authentication methods:

• Username/Password
• Username/Password + USB Key
• USB Key only
