This section describes how to configure event log, alarm log, security log, IPS log, configuration log, network log, traffic log and NBC log.

Enable: Select the check box to enable the event log function.
Facility: Specifies the UNIX syslog server. This option applies when syslog is configured to be sent to a UNIX syslog server.
Console: Select the check box to send syslog to Console.
- Lowest severity - Specifies the lowest severity level. Logs below the severity level selected here will not be exported.
Terminal: Select the check box to send syslog to the terminal.
- Lowest severity - Specifies the lowest severity level. Logs below the severity level selected here will not be exported.
Memory buffer: Select the check box to send syslog to the memory buffer.
- Lowest severity - Specifies the lowest severity level. Logs below the severity level selected here will not be exported.
- Max buffer size - The maximum size of the memory buffer. The value range is 4096 to 4294967295 bytes. The default value may vary from different hardware platforms.
File: Select the check box to send syslog to a file.
- Lowest severity - Specifies the lowest severity level. Logs below the severity level selected here will not be exported.
- Max file size - Specifies the maximum size of the syslog file. The value range is 4096 to 4294967295 bytes. The default value is 1048576.
- Redirect log to USB - Select the check box and select a USB drive (USB0 or USB1) from the drop-down list. Type a name for the syslog file into the Name box.
Syslog server: Select the check box to export event logs to the syslog server.
- Lowest severity - Specifies the lowest severity level. Logs below the severity level selected here will not be exported.
- All syslog servers - Click the link to view all configured syslog servers.
Email address: Select the check box to send event logs to the email.
- Lowest severity - Specifies the lowest severity level. Logs below the severity level selected here will not be exported.
- All email addresses - Click the link to view all configured emails.
OK: Save the settings.
Cancel: Cancel the settings.
Enable: Select this check box to enable alarm log function.
Console: Select the check box to export alarm log messages to Console.

- Record user name: Select the check box to show user name in the log message.
- Record host name: Select the check box to show host name in the log message.
Console: Select the check box to export traffic log messages to Console.
Memory buffer: Select the check box to export traffic logs to memory buffer.
- Max buffer size - The maximum size of the memory buffer. The value range is 4096 to 4294967295 bytes. The default value may vary from different hardware platforms.
Syslog server: Select the check box to export traffic logs to the syslog server.
- All syslog servers - Click the link to view all configured syslog servers.
OK: Save the settings.
Cancel: Cancel the settings.

- Max file size - Specifies the maximum size of the syslog file. The value range is 4096 to 4294967295 bytes. The default value is 1048576.
- Redirect log to USB - Select the check box and select a USB drive (USB0 or USB1) from the drop-down list. Type a name for the syslog file into the Name box.

Syslog server: Select the check box to export NBC logs to the syslog server.

Email address: Select the check box to send NBC logs to the email.
- All email addresses - Click the link to view all configured emails.
Local DB: Select the check box to export NBC logs to the local database. The local database uses SD card or storage expansion module as its storage media.
- Storage device size percentage - Type the percentage of log files in the storage media. The value range is 1 to 90. The default value is 90.
- Redirect log to - Select a storage media to store NBC logs.
OK: Save the settings.
