Penumbra is Torjan software that is used to download other Trojans. This software can download various backdoors in the Internet to the victim hosts, and then steal the victim’s accounts or perform other malicious operations, including:
remote video surveillance, real-time screen monitor, remote keyboard logger, remote file management, remote registry management, remote process management, remote service management, system service management, remote window management, remote text chatting, remote webpage popping up, gaining the remote host system information, restarting or shutting down the remote host, etc.
This kind of remote control software is commonly used for malicious system compromise.
