IT168：Application Traffic Management Will Become A Must for UTM
QoS is a hot topic increasingly important to a lot of customers. IT168 interviewed Hillstone Networks Chief Software Architect Mr. Zhong Wang and Beijing Trade & Network Technology engineer Mr. Haien Chi on the topic of “Realizing traffic control on UTM device and comparison with traditional QoS”. Mr. Zhong Wang pointed out that through analysis of requirement from universities, the most important aspect of application optimization is that bandwidth of key applications can be guaranteed and won’t be interrupted, meanwhile, user’s cost-of-ownership and cost of bandwidth can be reduced. In practice, we face two challenges: one is identification technology and the other is performance of security device. Hillstone Networks’ multi-core architecture, which uses high performance technology to solve the problems, can protect users’ investment effectively.
